Spring Class Recap

Florists and flower enthusiasts gathered together to learn my approach to natural floristry. I source many of my blooms locally and prefer outdoor grown product. I believe that flowers grown in a natural environment contain a character and story that greenhouse mass produced flowers do not.

I spoke with attendees about the use of color, texture, depth, and shape of our designs. While spring offers us an abundance of life: blooming branches, hellebores, and flushing roses, allowing us to create pieces that contained color, moments of growth and gesture. We paired our designs with accents of oatmeal grey linen and dove grey dress from Alexandra Grecco along with plenty of clean, natural light mixed with a candle-lit scene.

Tess Comrie was our guest photographer for the day. Work below includes designs from St. Thomas Floral, Catherine Featherstone, Glam Garden, and Hyacinth Orange.
